Managing change is one of the recurring challenges CEOs have in running their business. Normally change occurs through corporate activity e.g. merger or relocation. Or or by factors outside of its control e.g. political, social or technological change. The biggest challenge at the moment is COVID-19; it is testing the resilience of almost all businesses. I have worked on change projects for most of my career.
I know that businesses that manage change successfully take the view to embrace the change, rise to its challenge and do a great job managing and supporting the people affected.
But also CEOs don’t shy away from having tough conversations with people or making the difficult decisions that the change has brought about.
